Having a bit of resume writing block? 🤯 Cathy Boggs has you covered! Watch now for her 3 top tips on resume writing!
#1. Keep it Simple You might think you need a colorful resume, or to add your picture so it will stand out. The truth is, hiring managers are not all concerned with how done- up your resume looks, they want an easy to read layout.
#2. Get Rid of the Objective The hiring manager really needs to know more about you and your professional summary of experience. How you can contribute to their company? Focus less on personal desire and more on what you’ve already accomplished and what you’ll do with it in your next role.
#3. Have more than 1 Resume One size does not fit all in the world of resume. As jobs have different requirements focus on those and make sure that your resume applies to what the job is.
*Here’s a pro tip, If you’re a recent grad, you may want to place your education before work experience. If you have more work experience than education lead with that!
